Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during the free consultation?
1
The introductory call is simply a relaxed, 15–20 minute conversation for us to say hello. It gives you space to briefly share what brings you to therapy, and it gives me a chance to explain how we might work together. There's absolutely no obligation to book after this call.
How many sessions will I need?
2
Because therapy is entirely tailored to you, there is no fixed timeline. I offer both short-term, solution-focused counselling and long-term, open-ended therapy. We will regularly review our work together so you always feel in control of the process.
Are our sessions confidential?
3
Yes. I provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts. The only exception to this is if I believe you or someone else is at risk of serious harm, in which case I would always try to discuss this with you first before taking any action.
What if I need to cancel or rearrange a session?
4
I completely understand that life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I just ask for 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made with less than this notice are typically charged at the full session rate.
